Managed Server Replication
No organization’s IT infrastructure is immune from the disasters—disk crashes, power failures, human error, and fires—that can stop the flow of data to users. Continū’s server replication service goes beyond only protecting data, to protecting the availability and recoverability of entire databases and application server systems in the event of any unwelcome, unpredictable events that occur.
How It Works
Continū’s server replication is a disaster recovery solution based on asynchronous real-time replication and automatic failover to provide cost-effective business continuity for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, virtual systems, file servers, and many other applications. Our solution provides continuous data protection by sending an up-to-the-minute copy of the data as it is being changed to the target server.
Service Highlights
| Highlight | Highlight Benefit |
|---|---|
| High Availability and Failover | Choose between either application-level or full-server failover to configure our systems to take over for your production server in the event of an outage. |
| Flexible Bandwidth Scheduling | Limit network use during busy work hours and increase or remove these limits during non-peak times for very efficient replication with the least amount of impact on production resources. |
| Point-in-Time Recovery | Integrates with Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service to allow you to schedule and recover from up to 64 unique point-in-time copies of data on your Double-Take target device. |
| Comprehensive Solution | Protects Exchange, SQL Server, Virtual Systems, SharePoint, and more. Bulletproof your business continuity, data migration, centralized backup, and server consolidation operations. |
| WAN Support | Provides full-server failover or recovery across WAN connections to our dedicated disaster recovery sites. |
| Dissimilar Hardware Support | The unique system-state replication and restoration capabilities of our technology platform can account for a variety of differences between the original production server and the recovery system. It can be used to recover any configuration of physical servers and can even be used with virtualized servers for cost-effective disaster recovery. |
| Integrated Recovery and Failback | To ease recovery procedures and reduce downtime, our solution provides integrated restore and failback capabilities to automatically recover data to the original production server and initiate failback. |
