Hackers continue to use the Coronavirus Pandemic as an opportunity to profit. They're trying anything and everything. We recently had a Coronavirus phishing email hit the inbox of one of our employees just a couple of days ago.

Fortunately, all of our staff are always on full alert regarding phishing emails so we didn't fall victim. Others may not be so lucky, so we decided to publish this quick blog post to bring awareness to this particular coronavirus phishing email.

This one is trying to get you to click on a link named 'Coronavirus Online Self-Checker'.

Obviously, they're trying to prey on everyone's fear of catching the Coronavirus. A lot of people showing symptoms want to know if they have it, which is why this phishing email probably works so well. Don't be fooled!

How can you protect your company against phishing attacks?

As always, we recommend every company invest in Awareness Training for their staff to reduce phishing attacks as much as possible. We also recommend having a proper email spam filter in place.

That should just be the bare minimum. You also want to make sure you have proper network monitoring in place for 24/7 threat detection and a breach response plan. To learn more about your cyber threat risks, schedule your free assessment today!
